Full trailer for Shion Sono's "Why Don’t You Play in Hell?"

A new trailer has been released for Shion Sono’s upcoming action comedy Why Don’t You Play in Hell? It was also revealed that one of the stars of the film, Gen Hoshino, wrote and performed the theme song before his most recent hiatus following additional treatment for the subarachnoid hemorrhage he got surgery for late last year. The song can be heard around the 1-minute mark and it will be released as a single on October 2.

The film is based on a reworked version of a screenplay Sono wrote over 10 years ago. Jun Kunimura plays a yakuza boss who decides to make a film specifically for his daughter Mitsuko (Fumi Nikaido) to star in. The project is intended as a gift to his wife Shizue (Tomochika) who was sent to prison after taking the fall for him.

Eventually, a timid passerby (Hoshino) and an enthusiastic young film buff (Hiroki Hasegawa) are recruited to the staff of this yakuza prodiction. Meanwhile, a rival yakuza boss named Ikegami (Shinichi Tsutsumi) falls in love with Mitsuko as a fictional gang war overlaps with a real one.

“Why Don’t You Play in Hell?” will get its world premiere at the 70th Venice Film Festival (August 28-September 7) and its North American premiere at the 38th Toronto International Film Festival (September 5-15) as part of the Midnight Madness section. It will open in Japan on September 28, 2013.

PERFUME -「LEVEL3」release date and 「Party Maker」 CM

LEVEL3 will Officially be Released on October 2nd, 2013.

Perfume’s Official Facebook has also revealed that LEVEL3 will be receiving a global release, however dates and locations are yet to be announced (Source: Facebook).

The album will feature all the A-sides from Spring of Life to Magic of Love. It will also feature Party Maker from the Chocola BB promotions. The rest of the tracklist has yet to be revealed.

The album will be available in the two traditional versions:

An An's 2013 Special SEX Issue Goes to....

It has been reported that Kis-My-Ft2‘s Fujigaya Taisuke will have his first cover and gravure shoot for the famous magazine, “an an“, in lieu with the magazine’s annual special sex issue. Fujigaya will also do a “sexy nude” as announced.

The 8-page spread will showcase Fujigaya’s firm body coupled with sexy expressions. Fujigaya reportedly followed a strict diet and have lost 4 kg prior to shoot.

In addition, Fujigaya also shared some of his thoughts regarding love and sex, “love and having sex should be done freely”. He also confessed that he’s the type who likes to teased a girl on bed.

In time for Youtube Geek Week, Ryan Higa has put together the much demanded Naruto live-action movie parody trailer. The video was shot and made in Japan in collaboration with Youtube Japan. There he worked famous Japanese youtubers to make the parody trailer.

MomoClo, Morning Musume, Nogizaka46, Sexy Zone, Kis-My-Ft2 bashed after performing at FNS

Since producer Shin Kikuchi declared that this year's "FNS uta no natsu matsuri" will not be tolerating lip-syncing, almost all participants sang live. But a lot of fans have also been saying, "If this is the outcome, then they should have lip-synced instead".

This was first voiced out when Momoiro Clover Z performed with miwa.
"MomoClo's getting in the way www"
"They're totally drowning out miwa's singing."
"They're horrible."

MomoClo also performed the classic "Cosmos" (Momoe Yamaguchi) with Masashi Sada later in the program.
"This singing level... Aplogize! Apologize to Momoe-chan!!"
"MomoClo's singing way out of tune, it feels like Masashi Sada's undergoing torture."

This was also true for Morning Musume who performed "Help me!!" and "Love Machine".
"Eh! So the current generation of Morning Musume is this bad at singing?"
"Is this an amateur singing contest?"

I actually like the concept of this program.
You don't get to see this everyday, so these performances are actually pretty valuable.
I think the ones who participated are good even if they disgraced themselves, while I think that the ones who don't want to participate are just running away.

MomoClo should do something about the way they sing before people call them horrible. It's just plain disgusting.

I won't say that Seiko Matsuda never lip-synced, but I do think that she sings live whenever I watch her videos.
There's this distinct vibration in one's voice when you sing live, and she basically has that. But there's no proof that they recorded the live singing prior to that and they're just playing that.

MomoClo's performance was normal. When I watched the digital recording, I thought it was decent.
It might have also been because of the bad reverb adjustments due to live singing.

But more than that, I was more concerned about the guy from EXILE who sang Ozaki's "Shelly" so bad.
And why isn't SMAP being bashed?

These Morning Musume girls seem to be taught to sing in the same way as the head honcho Tsunku.

Idols shouldn't be paired up with singers.
It was horrible when MomoClo was paired up with a singer.

Sada Masashi must really be a sadist.

It's bad enough for them to sing, let alone sing other people's songs.
There are also times when a good singer would sound off when singing other people's songs.

Come to think of it, Gouriki didn't perform... Too bad.

Just one day ago, cyzo has reported about NMB48's Yamamoto Sayaka dating ONE OK ROCK's vocalist Takahiro (which she later denied in her Google+ post). And a day later, Shukan Bunshun gives us a scoop about Miyazawa Sae from AKB48/SNH48.

The magazine report that Fukasawa Tatsuya, a member from Johnny's Jr unit Snow Man is staying overnight at Miyazawa Sae's house.

A survey revealing 50% of Japanese women quizzed believed that there are interests which disbar even a hot guy from romantic consideration – and that all of the most despised of these relate to anime, managing to displace even the likes of “lolicon,” “prostitution” and “gambling” from the top spots – has been inflaming opinion online as usual.

The ranking, with comments from the several hundred females surveyed:



1. Anime
“It just has always had a strong association with ‘otaku’ so it’s totally unacceptable.” – 34-year-old woman

“I don’t normally watch anime so I can’t imagine we could have anything to talk about. Even if he was hot, if we have nothing to talk about…” – 26-year-old woman

DNW: Kento Nakajima Stars in Live-Action Silver Spoon Film

The Nikkan Sports and Sports Nippon newspapers announced on Wednesday that Hiromu Arakawa's (Fullmetal Alchemist) Silver Spoon farming manga will get a live-action film adaptation next spring. Sexy Zone band member Kento Nakajima (Bad Boys J, Kazoku no Uta) will star in the film as Yūgo Hachiken. Alice Hirose (35-sai no Kokosei, Zekkyō Gakkyū) will co-star as Aki Mikage. Ryūhei Ueshima (Kaibutsu-kun) will play the principal, Nakamura Shidō (Gatchaman, Beck, Death Note) will play Nakajima, the equestrian club adviser, and Tomohiro Ichikawa will play Hachiken's classmate Ichirō Komaba. Nakajima started filming in the city of Obihiro in Hokkaido on Saturday, and he also practiced horse riding and got experience working on a dairy farm to prepare for the role.


Keisuke Yoshida (Cafe Isobe, Triangle) is directing the film with the production companies TBS and Wilco (All About Lily Chou-Chou) and the distributor TOHO.

The Obihiro Tourism and Convention Bureau had posted a casting call for extras on a film project last month that would be shooting this summer in the Tokachi area of Hokkaido in and around Obihiro City. The film will was advertised then as a "portrait of teens set in an agricultural high school."

The anime adaptation of Arakawa's manga used Hokkaido Obihiro Agricultural High School as the model for the fictional Hokkaido agricultural high school. The anime adaptation is currently airing in Fuji TV's Noitamina late-night programming block. Aniplex USA licensed the series for home video, and Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series as it airs.

The original manga follows Yūgo Hachiken and his classmates at an agricultural high school in Hokkaido. Many of Hachiken's classmates are from farming families, but Hachiken is from the city and is not used to farm life. The manga won last year's Manga Taisho (Cartoon Grand Prize) award, last year's Booklog award, and this year's Shogakukan Manga Awards in the boys' category. The manga is currently running in Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday magazine and Shogakukan published the eighth compiled volume last month.

NMB48 Yamamoto Sayaka denies rumor that she is dating ONE OK ROCK vocalist Takahiro

Earlier today, gossip magazine Cyzo reported that 20-year old leader of Osaka-based idol group NMB48, Yamamoto Sayaka, has been dating the man since the beginning of this year. “Yamamoto has been hanging out with her musician friends and the friend introduced Takahiro to her. Source even said their mutual friend revealed that Takahiro boasted that he got laid with Yamamoto at their second date”, a journalist who works at tabloid paper company told the mag.
However, Yamamoto Sayaka took to Google Plus soon after the news was published online to shoot down the hectic romance rumors herself.

Singer-actor, Yamashita Tomohisa has reached the top spot in the singles chart with his 8th single, "SUMMER NUDE '13", which is a cover of Magokoro Brothers' hit song of the same name, released in 1995. The title track is used as the theme song to FujiTV's Monday night drama also starring Yamashita, "SUMMER NUDE".

In the albums chart, mixed rock band, MAXIMUM THE HORMONE have achieved their first no.1 album with their 5th album, "Yoshu Fukushu", which was released 6 months after their last album. Their previous album, "Bu Ikikaesu" (March 2007) reached 5th place in the first week and sold 71k, making this their highest-selling first week so far. The host has been determined for NHK's 64th Kouhaku Uta Gassen. Ayase Haruka (28) for the red team and Arashi's consecutive fourth time for the white team. Ayase was appointed for this major role due to the success of her starring taiga drama.

Despite being Ayase's first attempt at hosting, her genuine personality on variety shows has received high favorability. There is no concerns regarding this combination as Ayase has collaborated with Arashi on variety shows on multiple occasions.

Actor, Ayano Gou (31) and Hashimoto Ai (17), starring as Adachi Yui in the drama Amachan, were caught on a date.

Seto Koji takes the lead in "Judge"

The cast for Yoshiki Tonogai´s bestselling manga´s live-action movie adaption "Judge" got revealed today. The protagonist in the psychological thriller is played by Seto Koji, his female co-star is Arimura Kasumi. The talented actor Seto appears in the upcoming successive blockbusters "Sadako 3D" movie series and "Haganai", Arimura is known for playing the young Haruko Amano in NHK´s "Amachan". Both young actors are breaking new ground in the roles as sinner.

In the story of "Judge", nine young strangers wake up and find themselves wearing strange animal masks in a shuttered old courtroom. They are accused of sins, each resembling one of the seven deadly sins: wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony. Every 12 hour they must judge and sacrifice each other one by one, until only four are left alive. All have to play the game, or they will die together. The animal masks the participants are made to wear are connected to their sins. Seto stars as the wolf, who suffers from "rage", hidden in his dark past, in which he once caused a tragic accident. Arimura appears in a original role as the lion, presenting the sin of "arrogance". And as greedy fox completes Sato Jiro the cast.

"Judge" molds classics of the suspense genre like "SAW" and "Liar Game" in a cunning and unexpected way. The filming under the direction of Yo Kohatsu endet in early june. The movie is released nationwide on november the 8th 2013.
