Ueda Tatsuya to Star in a Stage Play Next Year

It has been announced that KAT-TUN‘s Ueda Tatsuya will be starring in a stage play next year to be directed by Ninagawa Yukio. This is the 1st time that the KAT-TUN member will be starring in a stage play by Ninagawa. It will also be Ueda’s stage comeback since 2009′s “Romeo and Juliet”.

Written by Furukawa Hideo, “Tōmin suru kuma ni soine shite goran” tells the story of two brothers who are descendants of a bear hunter. One brother is an elite salaryman, which will be played by Ueda, while the other one is yet to be announced. The said show will showcase the unique bond between two brothers.

“I thought that Ueda-san has a strong personality that’s why I wish to work together with him sometime,” Ninagawa commented. As for Ueda, “Each day, my heart throbs with joy as the day draws near when I can work with Ninagawa. I will work as hard as possible.” Stage practice will begin on December.

The said play is part of Bunkamura‘s 25th anniversary. “Tōmin suru kuma ni soine shite goran” will run starting Jan 9th next year at Theater Cocoon in Shibuya, Tokyo and will have a continuation in Osaka Morinomiya Piloti Hall starting Feb 7th.

The Kyocera Dome performances of AKB48 Group ended on the 8th, with the announcement of an audition event called “Draft Conference” at Grand Prince New Takanawa on November 10th.

According to the management, an open call for sign-ups will start in September. The pool of candidates will go through multiple evaluation rounds, and the final pool will be presented to all team captains of AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48. When a captain picks a candidate and the candidate agrees to the negotiation, then the candidate becomes a kenkyuusei of that particular team.

As for the status after being picked, at first it was announced that the candidate will become a regular member, but after the concert was over, the management issued a notice saying that was an error and the candidate will only become a kenkyuusei.

The management wants to make this event comparable to Senbatsu Sousenkyo as well as the Janken Tournament.
Just like the professional baseball draft, the candidates cannot pick where they want to go geographically. Even the venue is the same as the one used for professional baseball draft. Management is now working on rules/guidelines for the draft.　

Group-specific auditions will still be held regularly, just like how some baseball players were employed without going through the draft, or were employed as “test players”.
The captains are already meeting and discussing about what they are looking for in these candidates, such as “people that can really dance” or “people that are
really good at MC”.

Mechanics
AKB Draft will be for the public, not the member itself. It kinda works like normal audition for AKB. Like announced, the captains for each team will be able to pick their own 'new members' in their draft. These new members status will be different than the current Kenkyuusei, but they will join the Practices, Theatre performances, and such.

The Draft will go like this :
1. 12 August - 3 September -> Application Acceptance
7 - 13 September -> Candidates will be contacted
2. 14 - 16 September -> Candidates Interview
3. 21 - 23 September -> Dance and Vocal Audition
4. If the members pass the auditions, they will make their own introduction video, which will be uploaded into the Web (probably youtube)

The Draft itself will be on November 10th. This event will be open to public.

The Qualification for the applicants:
1. No Experience required
2. Girls between age 11 - 18, must not belong to any agency. Girls under 15 years old will need parents supervision.
3. Must follow all of the activities, such as daily performance on the Theatre.

Also, candidates will not be able to choose their own team. If 2 or more teams want the same candidates, it will be decided by lottery. Also, candidates will not be able to choose their own team. If 2 or more teams want the same candidates, it will be decided by lottery.

I personally think that the 48 family is now remodeling the whole fandom (maybe the whole idol world little by little) this time instead of management(which is common) the members will be the one who will select their desired trainee to train for their team. The newest single of the singer Akanishi Jin(29) who resumed activity for the first time in one and a half year this summer, "HEY WHAT'S UP",  will be appointed as the official theme song for the greatest fashion show Autumn/Winter 2013 TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (TGC) in Japan.  TGC will take place in Saitama Super Arena on August 31.


The song has been released since Aug 7 with good sales.   Since it is a pop dance number with peculiar words and a view of the world linked with the concept of TGC.  It was decided that it would be the first formal song in the history of TGC.   The music is due to be used as a promotion with outdoor activities, BGM of a stage, etc.


Jin commented that it's an honor for his song to be chosen and  "It's the best thing to have fashion girls all over Japan gathered in TGC to dance to this song".

TOKIO's Nagase Tomoya and Gouriki Ayame will be working together for the first time in the TBS autumn 2013 drama "Kurokochi" which will begin its run from October in the Fridays 10pm timeslot. The drama which is based on the same-titled manga by Richard Wu and will consist of 10 episodes, features Nagase as Kurokochi Keita, an assistant inspector in the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Criminal Department 2nd section who believes that the true criminal behind the JPY 300m robbery case in December 1968 which had passed its statute of limitations in 1975 is still out there and attempts to find whoever this is. He does not care about resorting to controversial ways to solve his cases including blackmailing politicians and demanding huge amounts of money. With the intelligence he gets, Kurokochi is able to solve many cold cases. On the other hand, Gouriki plays the role of Seike Mashiro, his colleague who's serious about her work and has a sterling record as compared to Kurokochi.

When asked during an interview in Waratte Iitomo!, Yamada Ryosuke (Hey! Say! JUMP) answered that talent agencies are keen on scouting his sisters to join the entertainment world. Yet, they are not interested. But it seems like his older sister, Yamada Chihiro (21), is ready to enter the entertainment business. She first appeared on a magazine and debuted as a model last year. She has also opened her own blog, where there are mostly fashion related posts.  You can check out her blog and more pictures HERE.

Then it was decided that next year, she'll be playing the lead role of an NHK drama titled "Himiko". Details are yet to be announced.



She's also friends with Chinen Yuri's older sister, Chinen Saya, and has posted a picture of their hang out/ meal together yesterday.
