On September 22, the third screening for the audition to select the candidates who will participate in "AKB48 group Draft Kaigi" (to be held in November) was held, and 30 girls have been chosen as the candidates.
The oldest one among the candidates is 24 years old, while the youngest one is 12 years old.
The 30 candidates will aim to be drafted by the captains of 10 total teams in AKB48, SKE48 (*leaders for SKE48), NMB48, and HKT48 (AKB48's team 4 will not participate in this). Until the day of the draft, they will appeal themselves through TV and WEB.
As announced previously, "AKB48 Group Draft Kaigi" will be held on November 10th at at Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa which is the same venue as the baseball draft.
The candidates have no choice for which group (and team) they will join, and if there is an appointment overlap, the candidate's team will be decided by drawing lots by the captains.
They do have the right of veto when they are drafted by the team they don't wish to join, but then those will lose their right to join any team.
The candidates, whose negotiations are settled, will be join the team as the "draft member", and will participate in the team activities including the lessons and theater performances.

This is fun, I wonder who among them will be selected to be part of the 48 family and who will went home. According to fans, this event was like The Voice audition where the captains of each team will pick the candidate if they like them or will argue if they choose the same candidate. This time, this is more on talent rather than looks and personality. A great shift in 48 family is coming.
