HKT48 will release their 2nd single, "Melon Juice", on September 4th.
The title track "Melon Juice" is HKT48's first punk rock tune. The PV shoot for this song was held at Yokohama BLITZ with a backup band and 1,000 extras.
The jacket covers were taken by Aoyama Yuki, who was in charge of Sashihara Rino's photo book, 'Sashiko'. She commented, "I'm happy to have Aoyama-san take the jacket pictures!"
August 12th marked the group's 500th performance at HKT48 Theater since it opened on November 26, 2011. This day was also HKT48 Research Students' 'PARTY ga Hajimaruyo' stage. To make it even more special, at the end, they performed "Melon Juice" and showed its PV for the first time.
