Rising idol star Tamashiro Tina guested on TBS’ “Ima, kono kao ga sugoi!” (Now that face is amazing!) where her confession involving Sakurai Sho received backlash from furious Arashi fans over the net.
The half Japanese-half American beauty was discovered while she was walking home wearing her gym clothes. Last year, Tamashiro won “Miss Idol 2013″ and signed an exclusive modeling contract with fashion magazine- ViVi..
Tamashiro appeared in show’s special segment of “Women Rising Stars” where Tamashiro presented as the “new face in the idol world”. This is also the first time that Tamashiro appeared in a variety show. When Sakurai, one of the show’s MC, asked her what made her agree to appear in a variety show, the 15 y/o model shyly confessed that she really likes Sakurai very much. Tamashiro has always admired Sakurai way back her childhood; she also added that she has posters of Sakurai in her room and imagine herself doing this and that with Sakurai. To increase the tension, Sakurai even seated beside Tamashiro where it was decided that they act out an “imagined date” with Tamashiro shedding tears when Sakurai calls her by her first name, “Tina!”.
The entire scene might be humorous to some but it didn’t sit well with some Arashi fans who decided to lashed-out Tamashiro on net. Some fans are not to please of Tamashiro’s “cheeky” attitude to confess her feelings for Sakurai just because she was able to guest on his show. There are also comments telling Tamashiro to stay away from Sakurai because a newcomer like her has a bad attitude.
Furthermore, some fans tweeted their criticisms directly to Tamashiro’s twitter account and even accused her of doing publicity stunt. While there are others who keep their cool and remind some furious Arashics that their bad behavior would reflect badly to other Arashics and even to Arashi themselves.
Lastly, while most fans are jealous that Tamashiro used her guesting to confess her feelings for Sakurai, it should also be noted that majority of Johnny’s fans are girls/women. Therefore, women talents/entertainer should at least be wary on how they talk and act toward a Johnny just to be on the safe side.
