Weekly Oricon Chart: Albums/Singles/Music-DVDs

Johnny's 5-member group, Sexy Zone have reached the top spot with their 4th single, "Real Sexy! BAD BOYS." This is about 40k higher than their previous single, "Sexy Summer ni Yuki ga Furu" (October last year) which sold 95k in the first week. This is also their 4th consecutive no.1 single since their debut with "Sexy Zone" (November 2011). The last time for an artist in their teens to have achieved this was 4 years ago by their agency's senior group, Hey!Say!JUMP in November 2008.

In the albums chart, popular duo, Yuzu have achieved their 4th consecutive no.1 album with their new album, "LAND", for a total of 12 no.1 albums. The cover for this CD jacket is drawn by contemporary artist, Murakami Takashi for Yuzu for the first time in 8 years. It has been 2 years and 3 months since the duo's last original album, "2 -NI-" (February 2011). This album includes the latest single "REASON" (January this year), as well as the song for the anime 'HUNTERxHUNTER', "Nagareboshi Kirari (Yuzu version)", for a total of 13 songs.

Meanwhile, popular group, Arashi have topped both the music-DVD and overall DVD charts simultaenously for 2 weeks in a row with their live DVD, "ARASHI LIVE TOUR Popcorn". Including music, drama, variety and other genres, the total DVD sales for Arashi has reached 7.824 million copies, and getting to 8 million copies for the first time ever is becoming more imminent. It has been 4 months for the same artists to have achieved the top spot in the DVD chart for 2 consecutive weeks, the last time was with "ARASHI ARAFES" (December 2012). For male artists, the last time it was achieved was by Mr.Children with "Mr.Children / Split The Difference" (November 2010).

In the music-BD chart, voice actress/singer, Mizuki Nana has achieved her 7th no.1 music-BD with her live Blu-Ray, "NANA MIZUKI LIVE GRACE-OPUSII-xUNION". The Blu-Ray has also reached no.2 in the overall Blu-Ray chart. It has sold 22,623 copies for a DVD+BD total of 28,683 copies. The first time she reached the top spot in this chart was with "NANA MIZUKI LIVE FIGHTER BLUExRED SIDE" (December 2008). She is now ahead of Tokyo Jihen, Momoiro Clover Z, Amuro Namie and Hamasaki Ayumi with the most no.1 music-BDs. This is her highest-selling first week so far, surpassing "NANA MIZUKI LIVE CASTLExJOURNEY-QUEEN-" (May 2012) which sold 19k. The live footage was filmed in January this year with a full orchestra of 188 people at Chiba QVC Marine Field, during the last day of her long tour which began in summer last year.

So glad to see Yuzu and Gen doing fine! Both are good albums too.

Congrats also for a fine run by SNO! But surprised at how poorly ATSUSHI is performing with this single since he sold almost 100k with MELROSE. I wonder if people are not liking the song much.
