On January 10, it was announced that actor Sakaguchi Kenji (38) will get married and that his wife-to-be is currently 2 months pregnant. The official marriage registration is expected to be filed soon.
According to those close to the couple, the two of them first met in the summer of last year. The woman manages a restaurant in Tokyo and when Sakaguchi was brought to this restaurant by a friend, he is said to have fallen in love with her at first sight. They have been dating and growing closer ever since. With this announcement, it has also come to light that his earlier relationship with model Sakurai Yumi (32) must have already come to an end in spring last year.
A friend of the couple described her as a slender, 1.62 m tall (5'3"), beautiful, and mature woman with long hair in her early thirties.
Sakaguchi can currently be seen in the Fuji TV drama 'Iryu 4'.

I have to admit that I was shocked by this news, I didn't even know Sakaguchi-san was dating! But congrats to him and his soon-to-be new family! =) I'm still wondering when it would be his good friend Ito Hideaki's turn to get married...or would he remain a forever-bachelor? Many of Ito's friends seem to be already married/getting married or are already in steady relationships...my OTP 'HideAi' hopes are already shattered anyway...=(
