The first official photo of actor Kamiki Ryunosuke as Rurouni Kenshin character Seta Soujiro is published today.
Kamiki has long expressed his wish to play Soujiro. It was revealed that he had to prepare for the movie by dyeing his hair and practicing for the action scenes.*
Actors Fujiwara Tatsuya and Iseya Yusuke will join the original Rurouni Kenshin cast as Juppongatana and Oniwabanshu leaders Shishio Makoto and Shinomori Aoshi respectively. Tsuchiya Tao will take on the role of Makimachi Misao. Other actors who will take on the roles of the characters in the Kyoto Arc have been previously revealed.
The two-part live action sequels of Rurouni Kenshin, entitled Kyoto Taika Hen (The Great Kyoto Fire) and Densetsu no Saigo Hen (The Final Moments of a Legend) respectively will cover the original manga’s Kyoto Arc. The movies are expected to be released in Japan on summer 2014.
